What personal data do we process, and for what purposes?
We process the data you have submitted to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or, where applicable, other vacant positions within our companies) and to carry out the recruitment process.
What is the legal basis for processing?
The primary legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), as amended from time to time. Under this legislation, the processing of data is permitted where it is necessary in connection with the decision to establish an employment relationship.
If, following the completion of the application process, the data may be required for the assertion or defence of legal claims, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Article 6 GDPR, in particular for the purposes of pursuing legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In such cases, our legitimate interest lies in asserting or defending legal claims.
How long is the data stored?
In the event of a rejection, applicants' data will be deleted after 6 months.
If you have consented to the continued storage of your personal data, we will add your data to our applicant pool. The data stored there will be deleted after two years.
If you are offered a position as part of the application process, your data will be transferred from the applicant management system to our personnel information system.
To whom is the data disclosed?
We use a specialised software provider for our recruitment process. This provider acts as a service provider on our behalf and may, in connection with the maintenance and servicing of the systems, gain access to your personal data where necessary.
We have concluded a data processing agreement (Data Processing Agreement) with this provider to ensure that data processing is carried out in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Once your application has been received, it will be reviewed by the Human Resources department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective vacant position. The further process will then be coordinated.
Within the company, access to your data is generally restricted to those persons who require it for the proper conduct of our recruitment process.
Where is the data processed?
The data is processed exclusively in data centres located within the European Union.
Your rights as a data subject
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process concerning you.
In the case of an access request that is not submitted in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may require you to provide proof of identity to verify that you are the person you claim to be.
You also have the right to request the rectification or deletion of your personal data, or the restriction of its processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so.
Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data within the scope of the applicable legal provisions. The same applies to your right to data portability.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data by us.
